While you are learning at home I encourage you to focus on the main ideas of music education:

  • Listening to a wide variety of music
  • Singing with a healthy and joyful singing voice
  • Moving to music and developing a sense of "beatfulness."

The activities I post here during our distance learning season will focus on these three main ideas! My goal is to provide fun and enriching experiences while my students are learning at home.

Week 2

Scholastic is offering wonderful, FREE, learning at home resources. Click the link below and scroll down to day 3 to find two wonderful books about music: Zin, Zin, Zin a Violin, which helps the students learn about instruments of the orchestra and All About Sound which is a book that explores the science of music.
